A two-setup CoC build that puts heavy emphasis on Shock Effect to deal massive Chaos Damage

Galvanic Field is a buff that increases your chance to Shock. After applying this Ailment to an enemy, the buff is removed to instead create a sphere around the target you've just Shocked that Hits enemies inside of it with lightning beams. The Spell itself cannot Shock, but it deals more damage the higher the effect of the Shock that created the damaging field was, so you will need a second Skill that can apply a powerful Shock. The effect of this non-damaging Ailment is tied to the Lightning Damageand is always applied with Critical Strikes, so in this case, with every Hit. You can easily increase the effect of non-damaging Ailments, but the most efficient way to do so with Shock is to equip Voltaxic Rift and use Overcharge Support Gem. Voltaxic Rift's HitsShock Enemies as though dealing 300% more Damage, Overcharge Support works in a similar manner, but the effect is even more pronounced. Remember that you will deal Chaos Damage, so allocating Inevitable Judgement is pointless. Find a way to apply Withered debuff instead.

Due to the high Damage of the Voltaxic Rift, we recommend picking up the Instrument of Virtue for Battlemage and more damage. With Battlemage you'llhave a lot of added Lightning Damage in all of your setups. That is imperative for Shock Effectiveness. For Critical Strike Chanceget Righteous Providence. Sanctuary and Pious Path will regenerate your Energy Shield and grant basicallya permanent Consecrated Ground bonus. To cause Shock, use a Cast-on-Crit setup that consists of a Spell that can instantly and easily Hit enemies - Arc seems like the best candidate. Add to that Lightning Conduit - a Spell that cannot Shock, but in a fashion similar to Galvanic Field, deals more Damage per Shock Effectiveness. This way you won't need to actually cast Galvanic Field while clearing maps. For an Attack, pick one that can be performed with Bows, preferably a Skill that fires many Projectiles or covers a large area. We recommend Rain of Arrows or Blast Rain. CoC setups usually require a lot of Mana. Here we've used Void Battery and Mind over Matter - combined with Inquisitor Keystoes for ES regen and Vitality you won't run out of ES, while still having 40% of itplay its default role of a Life Pool.

1. Gameplay

Use Rain of Arrow/Blast Rain to trigger Arc and Lightning Conduit. If you need more Damageuse Galvanic Field. It's excellent against single targets and for even faster clearing. UseAsenath's MarkHelmet to trigger the socketed Spell with each Attack - here we've put Lightning Warp linked with Overcharge to move much faster, and to enhance clear speed. For Auras we've used Wrath, Zealorty, Vitality, and Precision which is sourced from Hyrri's Truth. The two best Curses are Assassin's Mark and Despair, you will be able to apply both. The remaining sockets can be filled with Vaal Righteous Fire for more Spell Damage and Flame Dash or Molten Shell. To apply Withered debuff we've used TheBalance of Terror, but if you don't have it, use Withering Step, or Spell Totems linked with Wither.

You can't play CoC build from the start, it requires 100% Crit Chance with Attacks on top of other meaningful additions so it's onlyviable around level 80 or 90. To quickly level up, we recommendusing our Templar Leveling Guide using Toems.

[DPS] Galvanic Field setup
	Galvanic Field- A buff that quickly enters its second phase - a dome that damages enemies inside of it. Use the Phantasmal version for more Area of Effect. It cannot Shock but benefit from the increased Shock effect.
	Added Lightning Damage Support- It simply adds Lightning Damage to each Hit.
	Elemental Focus Support-A plain bonus that grants more damage has no downsides here since Galvanic Field cannot Shock anyway.
	Increased Critical Strikes Support- Increases Critical Strike Chance.
	Increased Critical Damage Support- Increases Critical Strike Multiplier.
	Void Manipulation Support- All of your Lightning Damage is converted to Chaos with Voltaxic Rift, Void Manipulation grants more Chaos Damage.

[DPS] Arc/Lightning Conduit/Rain of Arrows setup
	Arc- Arc is a simple Lightning Spell that Chains off of enemies instantly delivering Lightning Damage.
	Lightning Conduit- Deals Lightning Damage only to Shocked enemies, cannot Shock, and removes Shock on Hit. Enemies will be Shocked most of the time anyway due to the Lightning Warp, Rain of Arrows, and Arc.
	Rain of Arrows- Deals only around 10k DPS, but its most important function is making sure that each Attack Hits an enemy.Blast Rain can be used here instead - try both and select the one you're more comfortable with.
	Cast on Critical Support- It will trigger linked Spells when you Hit an enemy with one of the Arrows. Not both Spells at once, butalternately.
	Void Manipulation Support- If you don't have any other way to apply Withered debuff quickly and reliably, put theWithering Touch Support Here instead.
	Increased Critical Strikes Support

[UTILITY] Auras setup
	Zealotry - Increased Critical Strike Chance and more Damage but only for Spells.
	Wrath - Adds Lightning Damage to Attacks, and grants more Spell Lightning Damage - you will benefit from both.
	Vitality- Regenerates Life, and with Pious Path - Energy Shield, which is also your Mana.

[UTILITY] Lighting Warp setup socketed in Asenath's Mark
	Lightning Warp - It teleports you. WithAsenath's Mark, it will be triggered every time you Attack with 0.3-second Cooldown. It deals half-decent damage, enough to make it worth hooking up to Overcharge.
	Less Duration Support - Lightning Warp has reduced Duration which teleports you faster. It grants more Damage.
	Swift Affliction Support - It's another Gem that reduces Duration.
	Overcharge Support - With this Support Gem and Voltaxic Rift, the Shock applied with Lightning Warp will count as coming from an attack 990% more powerful than it actually is. That's more than enough to cause the Maximum Shock effect.

[UTILITY] Mark setup
	Assassin's Mark- More Critical Strike Chance and increased Critical Strike Damage against Marked targets.
	Mark on Hit Support- Mark will be applied automatically with Attacks against Rare and Unique enemies.

[UTILITY] Despair
	Despair- Cursed enemies have reduced Chaos Resistance. If you have a proper version ofThe Balance of Terror, cast it yourself. It can also be cast automatically with a specific Ring affix.

[UTILITY] Vaal RF
	Vaal Righteous Fire- Grants more Spell Damage, especially if it's a Divergent version. You should be able to sustain it in its non-Vaal form.

[MOBILITY] Flame Dash
	Flame Dash- With Instrument of Virtue, it's better to cast three Spells every 8 seconds for more damage. Flame Dash is great for that role, and it doubles as a mobility tool.

[UTILITY] Precision sourced from Hyrri's Truth
	Precision- Use Precision for more Accuracy and increased Critical Strike Chance for Attacks and Spells.

6. Gear Setup

CoC builds require a 100% Critical Strike Chance for Attacks and enough Accuracy Rating to land nearly every Hit. Critical Strike Multiplier, especially for Spells, is a way to gain more Damage, alongside simply increasing Lightning/Chaos Damage, Attack Speed, or leveling up your Spell Skill Gems. For defenses try to accumulate Maximum Life, Energy Shield, and Armour. With Righteous Providence you may also want to get some Strength to increase your Critical Strike Chance, but Dexterity is one of the more important Attributes, as it is required to wield the unique Bow. Voltaxic Rift is the mandatory unique item. The price of it is usually somewhat high and hard to predict, especially at the start of a new league.Asenath's Mark is also required for the most optimal performance. The same goes for Hyrri's Truth and Mark of the Shaper. These uniques are cheap. Gearing up should be easy, all of the items are inexpensive.

Ourrecommended items will:

1. Cap your resistances at 75%
2. Provide you with enough DPS and Lifeto start mapping

(Helmet) Asenath's Mark-It's the best-in-slot Helmet that increases Attack Speed, Spell Damage, Energy Shield, and triggers socketed Spell after you Attack with a Bow. It's where you should socket your Lightning Warp setup.

Trigger a Socketed Spell when you Attack with a Bow, with a 0.3 second Cooldown (10-15)% increased Attack Speed +(30-50) to maximum Energy Shield 30% increased Mana Regeneration Rate (30-60)% increased Spell Damage

Helmet enchantments: Galvanic Field Enchantments Arc Chains an additional time Lightning Conduit has increased Area of Effect

(Weapon) Voltaxic Rift-A Bow that has very high base Lightning Damage and increased Attack Speed. Its unique selling point is the 100% Lightning to Chaos Conversion, an ability for Chaos Damage to Shock, and+40% to Maximum Effect of Shock. A perfect weapon for a build like this.

Adds 1 to (600-750) Lightning Damage (10-15)% increased Attack Speed 100% of Lightning Damage Converted to Chaos Damage Your Chaos Damage can Shock Hits with this Weapon Shock Enemies as though dealing 300% more Damage +40% to Maximum Effect of Shock

(Off-hand) Rare Quiver-Quiver should grant you some Maximum Life, Attack Speed, and Crit Chance or Multiplier. You may also find some other offensive or utility modifiers here.

(Body Armour)Rare Body Armour- A Rare Body Armour with tons of Life and Resistances is good enough. It does not need to be influenced so that you may apply blue and red Eldritch orbs to it, we recommend increased Effect of Auras, Wrath specifically.

(Body Armour)Skin of the Lords- As a Rare Body Armour has no specific, build-enabling qualities, you can simply get the Skin of the Lords for more Damage.

Item has no level requirement and Energy Shield (Hidden) Sockets cannot be modified +2 to Level of Socketed Gems 100% increased Global Defences You can only Socket Corrupted Gems in this item Item has 6 Sockets and is fully linked (Hidden) <Random Keystone>

(Boots) Rare Boots- As was the case with Body Armour, we once again recommend Boots with no built-in influence so that you may use red orbs and get the "Drops Brittle Ground while moving" Implicit. Britlled enemies have a higher chance of receiving a Critical Strike.

Min. requirements: +60 to maximum Life 25% increased Movement Speed +50% to Elemental Resistances Optional affixes: Chaos Resistance chance to gain Onslaught for 4 seconds on Kill chance to gain Elusive on Critical Strike Increased Cooldown Recovery Rate Chance to Suppress Spell Damage

(Gloves) Rare Gloves - Gloves should get you some extra Accuracy and Maximum Life. Dexterity, Attack Speed, and Critical Strike mods can be found here too.

Min. requirements: +50 to maximum Life +60% to Elemental Resistances Accuracy Optional affixes: increased Global Critical Strike Chance Attributes increased Attack Speed increased Critical Strike Chance against Shocked Enemies

(Belt) Rare Belt- Get a Stygian Vise with a lot of Maximum Life, Resistances, Strength, and other defensive modifiers.

Min. requirements: +60 to Maximum Life +50% to Elemental Resistances Strength Optional affixes: Increased Cooldown Recovery Rate increased Maximum Life Armour Energy Shield

(Amulet) Hyrri's Truth- It's the best Amulet as it grants an absurd amount of Dexterity, discounted level 30 Precision, Culling Strike, andCritical Strike Multiplier.

+(20-30) to Dexterity Grants Level 30 Precision Skill +(40-80) to Dexterity Bow Attacks have Culling Strike +(25-50)% to Global Critical Strike Multiplier Precision has 100% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency

Recommended Anointments: Breath of Lightning

(Ring) Rare Ring - Rings are good for Maximum Life, Resistances, and Attributes. There are also modifiers for Critical Strike Chance, Damage, Life gained on Hit, and Accuracy that you might find to be of use. Get an Elder-influenced one.

Min. requirements: +40 to maximum Life +40% to Elemental Resistances Attributes Optional affixes: increased Global Critical Strike Chance Curse Enemies with Despair on Hit increased Global Critical Strike Multiplier Accuracy

(Ring) Mark of the Shaper - If your other ring is Elder-influenced, Mark of the Shaper is probably the best choice. It provides a lot of damage, increases Maximum Life, and Energy Shield.

(15-25)% increased Elemental Damage 20% chance to Trigger Level 20 Summon Volatile Anomaly on Kill Adds (13-18) to (50-56) Lightning Damage to Spells (6-10)% increased maximum Energy Shield (6-10)% increased maximum Life (60-80)% increased Spell Damage if your other Ring is an Elder Item Cannot be Stunned by Spells if your other Ring is a Shaper Item

(Jewel)Rare Jewels- Maximum Life, Resistances, Attributes, Critical Strike modifiers, and Attack Speed can be implemented with Rare Jewels.

Recommended affixes: Maximum Life Elemental Resistances Attributes Increased Critical Strike Chance Critical Strike Multiplier increased Attack Speed

(Jewel)The Balance of Terror- "Inflict Withered for 2 seconds on Hit if you've cast Despair in the past 10 seconds" is the mod you want to get on this Jewel.

+(10-15)% to all Elemental Resistances <2-3 random curse modifiers>

(Jewel)Watcher's Eye - Some Critical Strike or Attack Speed mods that are affiliated with Precision or Zealotry will be great on a Watcher's Eye. A Vitality mod for Life on Hit may also be good.

(4-6)% increased maximum Energy Shield (4-6)% increased maximum Life (4-6)% increased maximum Mana <Two or Three random aura modifiers>

(Jewel)Large Cluster Jewels- You can use one or two Large Lightning Damage Cluster Jewels with Overshock or Paralysis, and Prismatic Heart, Widespread Destruction, orDisorienting Display.

Recommended affixes: 1 Added Passive Skill is Paralysis 1 Added Passive Skill is Prismatic Heart 1 Added Passive Skill is Overshock 1 Added Passive Skill is Widespread Destruction 1 Added Passive Skill is Disorienting Display

(Jewel)Medium Cluster Jewels- If you still don't have enough Crit Chance, go for Medium Cluster Jewels with nodes that would increase it.

Recommended affixes: 1 Added Passive Skill is Basics of Pain 1 Added Passive Skill is Quick Getaway 1 Added Passive Skill is Pressure Points

(Flask) Bottled Faith - Bottled Faith is great but very expensive. It increases your DPS and Critical Strike Chance.
